Our Services
The elementary years are a time when students begin to develop their academic self-concept and feelings of competence and confidence as learners. They are beginning to develop decision-making, communication and life skills, as well as character values. It is also a time when students develop and acquire attitudes toward school, self, peers, social groups and family. (American School Counselor Association)
Throughout the year, I collaborate with the students, staff, and families to provide a safe environment for this development.
Some of the services I provide are the following:
- Classroom lessons
- Individual and small group counseling
- Individual/family/school crisis intervention
- Consultation/collaboration
- Academic support
- At risk student identification and implementation of interventions to enhance success
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Conflict resolution strategies
If there is ever a time in which you would like assistance with your child, or have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. It is the collaboration between home and school that will most benefit your child. I look forward to working with you and your child in creating a positive and productive experience here at Northvail.
